Mips protection
A low-friction layer inside the helmet is designed to reduce rotational forces in certain angled impacts.
Full-face protection for e-bike speed.
The Virgo covers the jaw, cheeks and face where a standard bike helmet stops. Built to NTA 8776, with a removable visor and a smart rear light on the Integral models.
Meets the 45 km/h NTA 8776 standard. Whether that makes it legal on a speed pedelec depends on your country's rules.
[LINK: see the certificates]The Virgo brings full-face coverage to everyday riding. Its shell and chin guard protect the jaw, cheeks and face, it is built to NTA 8776 for e-bike speeds up to 45 km/h, and it meets EN 1078 and the US CPSC bicycle helmet standard. The Integral versions add a removable visor and a smart rear light, so one helmet handles protection, weather and visibility.

Cushions fix on with quick pins, fit by hand and wash separately from the fabric parts.
Included for riding in the cold, so one helmet works all year.
Crystal comes with every Virgo. Add a tint for bright or flat days and swap it in with two side screws.
Tinted visors are for daylight. After dark, ride with Crystal.

A Dutch technical standard for helmets used on speed e-bikes, up to 45 km/h. It starts from EN 1078 and tightens it: higher impact speeds and more of the head covered, especially the temples and the back of the head.

The US federal standard for bicycle helmets (16 CFR 1203), which every bicycle helmet sold in the US must meet.

No helmet can protect against every impact, and certification does not remove all risk. Whether a helmet meets speed-pedelec rules where you ride depends on local law.
On an e-bike you ride faster and closer to cars, and an ordinary bike helmet leaves your face open. The Virgo covers the jaw, cheeks and face. It is built to NTA 8776, which tests at higher impact speeds than the standard bike-helmet test and covers more of the head.
"I love this new style of full-face helmet that is perfect for ebike commuters. I have been using it for 6 months of commuting and it is comfortable to ride with."
Measure around your head with a soft tape, about 1 cm (half an inch) above your eyebrows, at the widest point. Then choose: S 51 to 54 cm, M 55 to 58 cm, L 59 to 63 cm. No helmet can protect against every impact, and certification does not remove all risk.
Under the US CPSC standard, a helmet must pass its tests with and without the attachments the maker offers, where an attachment can affect the result, and projections on the outer surface must break away or collapse. [Visor material and its breakaway behaviour, from your test report.]
A full-face helmet is warmer than an open one, and airflow depends on your speed and the vents. [Number and position of vents.] In cold weather, clip on the winter ear covers; in summer, remove the covers.
[Weight in grams per size, with visor and rear light fitted.] Full-face coverage weighs more than an open commuter helmet, and the Virgo keeps that difference small by [one sentence on the construction, from your data sheet].
The face cushions fix on with quick pins and are positioned to hold the helmet steady without the bulk of full cheek padding. [Add the rear adjustment system and one line on fit testing.]
Both Integral versions [confirm: same standards]. Mips adds a low-friction layer designed to reduce rotational forces in certain angled impacts. If you want that extra layer, choose Mips.
[Light modes, run time and charge time from the data sheet.] The light is removable for charging. [Brake detection: confirm that the Virgo light brightens when you slow down before stating it.]
The Virgo is certified as a bicycle helmet (CPSC, EN 1078) and for speed e-bikes (NTA 8776), so it suits regular and electric bikes. Standards for e-scooters differ by country, so check local rules before using it on one.
It depends on the country. A speed e-bike is classed as a moped under EU rules, which means a moped helmet is normally required; the Netherlands also allows NTA 8776 helmets on speed e-bikes. In the US, helmet rules for e-bikes depend on the state and the e-bike class. Check your local rules before you ride.
The cushions come off and can be washed separately from the fabric parts. [Cleaning agents to avoid, from the user manual.] Keep solvents and strong cleaners away from the shell and foam.
Owners say yes. One wrote: "I can wear glasses underneath and I love having a light in the back."
It can on humid mornings. Swivel it up at a stop, or take it off with the two side screws.
